    Hunt The Jicarilla 

    The 888,000 acre Jicarilla Apache Reservation was established in 1887 as homeland for the Jicarilla Apache People. The Jicarilla have a long history of managing the habitat for elk, mule deer, turkey, trout, water fowl, black bear, and mountain lion. Hunting season dates, permit quotas and prices are determined each year after the Tribal Game and Fish complete winter game surveys and complies hunter harvest information. The annual hunting proclamation becomes available by March and drawing dates are generally in June and July.
